Photosol, partner of the 1st Agrivoltaism Forum: A day dedicated to dialogue between agriculture and solar energy

On Monday, December 16th in Paris, Photosol had the pleasure of participating in the 1st Agrivoltaism Forum, organized by Enerplan, the professional solar energy association. This significant event brought together agricultural professionals and solar energy stakeholders with a common goal: to build the future of agrivoltaism in France together.

An exchange space to co-build the future

At Photosol, we believe that agrivoltaism represents a unique opportunity to address the agricultural and energy challenges of tomorrow. By strengthening dialogue among stakeholders, we contribute to laying the foundation for a balanced, sustainable, and mutually beneficial model. During this first forum, our team actively participated in roundtables, experience feedback sessions, and strategic discussions that marked the day. Central to the debates:

  • The feedback from pioneering farmers in agrivoltaism.
  • The key issues in balancing sustainable agricultural production and the energy transition.
  • The needs of on-the-ground stakeholders, including farmers, local authorities, and businesses.

Key moment: debates to clarify perspectives

One of the highlights of the day took place from 11:00 to 12:30, during a roundtable titled “Agrivoltaism, a new model… to be built together”. Led by recognized experts and practitioners, this session explored major questions:

  • Revolution or a false good idea?
  • What are the impacts on soils and the agricultural ecosystem?
  • How can we avoid the risks of conflicts of use and “energy rent”?

Among the speakers:

  • Olivier Dauger, Vice-President of the FNSEA
  • André Joffre, Emeritus Vice-President of Enerplan
  • Etienne Prunes, Farmer
  • Jérôme Mousset, Director of Bioeconomy and Renewable Energies at ADEME

During this roundtable, we also had the opportunity to listen to the inspiring testimony of Christian Courtier, a small fruit and table grape producer from Haute-Marne, who is developing an agrivoltaic project with the support of Photosol.
